PROTOCOL & SOP CREATION

Protocol consultation includes review & modification of current biosecurity & treatment protocols, as well as medication review & Approved Medication Lists based on the diseases on your farm. A protocol consultation requires pre-visit "homework," an on-farm visit & establishment of a veterinary-client-patient relationship (VCPR).

• Prior to the visit, you will be asked to...

  • Read & sign a VCPR agreement

  • Prepare a list of common diseases on your farm with treatment history

  • Prepare a current medication inventory

• After the visit, you will be provided a digital copy of your prepared protocols & medication lists, with option for revision based on farm needs

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) consultation includes review of current standard operating procedures & modification or creation of new SOPs, based on your individual operation. This may include taking pictures or videos of the facilities, animals, or equipment. SOP consultations require pre-visit "homework," an on-farm visit & ongoing communication.

  • Prepare a list of common procedures you perform on your farm

  • Prepare a copy of current written SOPs & how they are used

• After the visit, you will be provided a digital copy of your prepared SOPs, with option for revision based on farm needs

Pricing

• Call fee based on mileage from Visalia, CA

  • Within 10 miles = $20

  • Beyond 10 miles = $10 + $1/mile (example 50 miles = $10 + $50)

• Base consult price includes 2 hours of on farm review, plus 2 hours of protocol or SOP follow up for $750

  • Additional time beyond the base 4 hours is $300/hour, billed in 15 minute increments

• Accompanying resources will be printed & provided at the time of the workshop
