Birthing Workshop: If you have a breeding group of cows, ewes, does, or sows on campus, be as prepared as possible by setting up a birthing workshop, which covers normal positioning & birth process, abnormal positioning, when & how to intervene, & other neonatal needs. We will practice with a pelvic model & cadaver fetuses in correcting common malpresentations, including proper use of obstetrical tools.
Euthanasia Workshop: All farm managers should be educated in proper euthanasia technique just in case. Includes information on captive bolt gun use & care, euthanasia location & technique, & discussion of when euthanasia is appropriate & carcass handling.
Treatment Protocol Consulting: We'll review your written treatment protocols & streamline them for diseases you commonly deal with on your farm. Requires establishment of a veterinary-client-patient relationship (VCPR), on farm visit & communication with your herd veterinarian.
Standard Operating Procedure Consulting: We'll review your written SOPs & create new ones for commonly performed procedures on your farm, including relevant photos. Requires on farm visit & communication with your herd veterinarian.
Records Consulting: We'll review your current records & make sure you're logging what you need to, and/or help you find a system that works for you.
