Appropriate Drug Use in Small Ruminants Webinar recording now available

I hope a few of you were able to join me for my presentation on Appropriate Drug Use in Small Ruminants webinar, hosted by the University of Idaho Sheep & Goat Extension. The kind folks at UofI have made that day's recordings available for viewing!

The first part of the webinar talked about the now-enacted changes to prescription drugs due to GFI #263, which went active in mid-June, moving all medically important antibiotics from over-the-counter (OTC) to prescription (Rx). Carmen did an excellent job explaining WHY this change is being made, as well as HOW it will affect producers, so check it out:

I followed up with appropriate medication use in small ruminants. We chatted about what's on a drug label, common diseases of small ruminants, common medication misuse cases, & more. Take a look:

I had a great time presenting to an engaged group of producers, but have also attended many of the webinars in this series, which have all been excellent! This team does a great job of finding people who are knowledgeable, but able to bring it back to practical applications. I highly recommend checking out their upcoming webinars & registering for any that sound interesting. Their Facebook page is most up to date with past & future offerings: https://www.facebook.com/UISheepandGoats/

They also have some great video & written resources on their Extension website: https://www.uidaho.edu/extension/sheep-and-goat/resources

Small ruminant enthusiasts unite!
